Outer Banks Wedding - Emily and Greg - May 2010

Next up....Emily and Greg!

We ask each of our brides to fill out a questionnaire to help us get to know them and get a feel for their style. Here's part of what Emily wrote to us:

"LOVE the journalistic/candid approach. Not big on posed shots but I'm aware that they're necessary for the formal shots. If guests pose too much feel free to tell them (per the bride's request) to just relax and pretend you're not there so you can get some genuine photos. I love natural sunlight and shadows. I love uncentered photos and weird angles and oddly cropped images. I am an artist and appreciate art so feel free to experiment and be as creative as possible."

When we read that, Chad and I immediately started brainstorming. Emily, you might possibly be our dream client! Chad took the reigns on this one, and I was so excited to see the results. To top it off, this was not a beach wedding. While we love beach weddings and know that is what brides come here for 99% of the time, Emily and Greg are locals. They opted out of the beach theme, so we had the opportunity to work with some different locations. Chad took the girls to the middle of a street in Chicahauk (Southern Shores) for some of my absolute favorite ever bridesmaids photos. Emily, you looked gorgeous and your ladies rocked it!

Their ceremony was at Kitty Hawk United Methodist, and everyone drove down to The Pearl to get down! Emily, being the artist that she is, designed a lot of the decor including the awesome menu covers.

I loved editing these photos and pushing my creative limits. Congrats to a couple who met their junior year of high school, has a beautiful little boy, and embodies the essence of young love!

PS. The last image was shot by a wedding guest of Greg and Emily's coasters- "G&E" :)

Wow!Wonderful photographers for wedding.I like so much..Where do you want the pictures taken? Do you want posed shots before and after the ceremony? Or just candids taken during the ceremony and reception? Do you want some outdoor shots?
